Now, let’s examine each feature that has been recently added to Canva, and where to locate them.
1. Canva Doc.

This feature has several benefits. Firstly, it makes document creation and designs more streamlined, as you don’t need to switch between different tools or software to add visual elements.

Once you’re finished with your document, you can easily download it as a PDF or turn it into a presentation, saving you time and effort.
You can find the Canva Doc feature on the left-hand side of the Canva dashboard, under the “For you” tab or just go to “Create a design” and select “Doc”.
2. Brand Hub.
Canva’s Brand Hub is an upgraded feature that provides admins with greater control over their designs by restricting certain functions for their teams, while also offering additional capabilities within the Brand Kit.
Previously, the Brand Kit and Brand Templates only allowed users to manage their brand’s colours, and fonts, and store their templates. However, the new and improved Brand Hub now allows users to store photos, graphics, and icons as well.
With the addition of Brand Hub, you can now restrict your team only to use your brand colours and fonts in their designs. Furthermore, you can establish a design approval process for your team and authorize someone to approve the designs created by the team.
This new feature benefits businesses by ensuring that their brand’s visual identity remains consistent across all designs and channels. It also streamlines the approval process, enabling the team to work more efficiently and effectively.
To access the Brand Hub, log in to your Canva account, click on the “Brand Hub” button located in the left sidebar, and then select any of either the Brand Kit, Brand Templates or the Brand Control tab to manage your brand.
3. Translate.
Canva Translate enables you to translate any text within your design. This feature supports over 100 languages, making it easy to incorporate text in various scripts from around the world.
With Canva Translate, you can effortlessly add words in different languages to your design, making it more accessible to a global audience. This feature is especially beneficial for businesses that cater to customers from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
If you have a Canva Pro account, you will receive a credit of 500 translations per month, which you can use to translate text within your design.
You can find the Canva Translate feature in the left toolbar of the Canva editor. Just select the text, then click on the “Translate” button and select the language you want to translate the text into.
4. Magic Write.
Canva has recently added a new feature called “Magic Write,” which is powered by AI. Just like other AI copywriting tools It also allows users to create blog outlines, social media captions, and content ideas quickly and easily.
To use Magic Write, simply input your prompt, and Canva’s AI technology will generate relevant content for you. This feature is especially useful for those who may struggle with writer’s block or those looking to save time in content creation.
You can access Magic Write from the Canva Assistant tab anywhere while designing and in Canva doc too.
5. Canva Assistant
Canva Assistant is the most dynamic addition to the list of new Canva features. It’s a useful tool that can be found on the right-hand side of your design dashboard. It helps you quickly locate the design elements you need. While it’s not a new design feature, it can make your design process much smoother.
One of the helpful features of Canva Assistant is the Magic Write option. By utilizing AI technology, it suggests text for your designs, making the writing process much easier and quicker.
This feature is particularly beneficial for people who want to create high-quality designs quickly without spending too much time searching for the right elements.
To find Canva Assistant and the Magic Write feature, simply go to the right-hand side of your design dashboard.
6. Magic Edit.
Canva’s Magic Edit is an incredible tool that allows you to add or replace any element in your images with ease. Simply select the area where you want to make the change in an image, give a command (describe what you want to add), and let Canva do the rest.
This feature will save you time and effort by eliminating the need to start from scratch or use complex editing software.
To access Magic Edit in Canva, select the image you want to edit and click on the “Edit Image” button located at the top of the editor. Then choose the “Magic Edit” option and follow the prompts to make the desired changes to your design.
7. Magic Eraser.
The Magic Eraser feature in Canva enables you to quickly and easily remove any unwanted elements from your image. By selecting the brush tool, adjusting the size, and brushing over the area you want to remove, you can erase it in just a few clicks.

You can find the Magic Eraser feature in the Canva dashboard by selecting an image and clicking on the “Edit Image” tab. The Magic Eraser option will appear near the “Background Remover” category just beside the “Magic Edit” tab.

Canva’s Draw feature, which allows you to create hand-drawn designs, has been around for a while. However, now it has been improved with an additional Whiteboard feature that enables collaboration with your team members.
This enhancement to the Draw feature allows for real-time collaboration and brainstorming with others, making it easier to work together and create ideas and stunning designs.
You can find the Draw feature in the left-hand side toolbar anytime while designing or select the Whiteboard option from the “Create a Design” tab in the Canva dashboard.
11. Magic Design.
Canva’s Magic Design feature simplifies the process of creating designs. All you need to do is upload an image and choose a style. Then, Magic Design will generate a collection of distinctive templates specifically tailored to your needs.
This feature will benefit those who want to create designs quickly and effortlessly, without having to start from scratch. It’s particularly helpful for those who may not have design experience or the time to craft a design from scratch.
To access Magic Design, simply login to your Canva account and select the “Templates” tab on the left-hand side of the dashboard. Then, choose the “Magic Design” option and you’re ready to start using this powerful feature!
12. Beat Sync.
The Beat Sync feature in Canva automatically synchronizes audio and video elements, eliminating the need for manual editing. This makes it easy for you to edit your videos for social media and other purposes without spending too much time on timing adjustments.
